OLD CONTEMPTIBLES ASSOCIATION LAPEL BADGE

Old contemptibles or "chums", a group formed around 1925 for the veterens of the 1914 (August 5th - November 22nd) first expeditionary force who had been awarded the star with clasp for operating in an area under enemy fire. The group was formed as a remembrance and social where the members could support each other.
