Five silks dated from 1916 -1920 with one blank gold coloured (possibly a faded example from the second rally). The green silk is for the first ever ladies cycling rally in 1916 held in Wisley Woods. Very delicate with tear through the "woods".
The Cyclists' Touring Club began as the Bicycle Touring Club in 1878. It was named The Cyclists' Touring Club in 1883 and was incorporated in 1887. The club promoted cycling, organised rallies and made guides and maps for all its members.
It is still going strong and has been renamed Cycling UK.
